OLOPSC Officially Goes Google

Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College (OLOPSC) faculty members from all levels engaged in a webinar last May 6 and 7, 2020 that introduced them to the Google Certified Educator (GCE) program under Google for Education. The webinar was meant to educate the teachers about the GCE program and its benefits as the academe prepares in getting all of its faculty members certified.

With the hashtag #OLOPSCGoneGoogle and the theme “OLOPSC Marches Onward in the New Normal,” the Office of the President and the Office of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs tapped one of its faculty members, Mrs. Nathassia Lilli Rence Sabado, to lead the said webinar. Dr. Armida Salvador-Samaniego, OLOPSC President, gave encouraging welcome remarks as she checked on the faculty members’ well-being and motivated them to rise up to the challenge of the new normal as educators. Mrs. Sabado, a Google Certified Educator Level 1, walked the faculty through the different GCE certifications, the benefits of being a GCE such as being educational technology-proficient in their classes and career opportunities, and the process of preparing and getting certified.

OLOPSC has been a Gone Google school since 2016. Gone Google schools integrate the G Suite for Education platform in their administrative and academic affairs. The academe is maximizing its use of the said platform as they prepare for several distance learning delivery modalities for SY 2020-2021.
